The future plan of the department are:

                    1.      To establish nakshtra garden.

                    2.       To start a consultancy regarding horticulture and nursery management, soil analysis, biopesticides  and biofertilizer development.

                    3.      To take major research project on medicinal plants.

                    4.      Overall improvement of the academic atmosphere and results of the department.

                    5.      To develop e-herbarium.
