Excursions are arranged to give exposure to students. Field education is equally important as classroom teaching. It adds vigor in learning processes and relieves monotones of indoor education. Shivaji University Kolhapur has introduced Study tour for B.Sc I , II . students.  These tours help to build good repo amongst students and teachers. The department of Botany organizes study tour to create scientific temper among the students. Study tour is organized to visit scientific centre, Sea Shores , Museums, industries and various research centers. It will create interest in research attitude in student. The 70% students participate in the study tour.  The students are required to submit tour report which carries certain marks in the University practical examination.  Various study tour were arranged by department of Botany for B.
